Internationally renowned sculptor Cecile Johnson Soliz has spent much of the last year at the Red Bank factory, designing, making and overseeing the manufacture of the pots which vary in shape and size from just 45cms (1.5ft) to 180cms (7ft). The project came about as a result of an innovative support package involving the Californian born, Cardiff based sculptor, St David Ltd the leading house builder, UWIC, Red Bank the Claymasters and the Arts & Business Cymru Pairing Scheme Award.Johnson Soliz’Chimney-Pot-Sculptures now adorn rooftops at three sites in Cardiff Bay and the City Centre changing our cityscape and skyline forever.
