Commission:
The artist Philip Blacker used a highly successful one man show to launch his career as a full time sculptor. The Jim Driscoll sculpture seeks to capture the physical presence of the fighter whilst providing a lasting tribute to his achievements and generous spirit. The work is one and a quarter life size. The stance is taken from a photograph displayed in the Royal Oak Publishing House in Cardiff showing Driscoll wearing his Lonsdale belt.
