Gateway Cardiff Wall 1997 Jane Kelly :     The Cardiff Bay Regeneration Strategy published in 1988 envisaged Tyndall Street as one of a number of roads which would form a series of cross-connecting visual corridors. Tyndall Street, East Tyndall Street and Windsor Road therefore form an increasingly important "Gateway" between the City Centre and the Bay. The dominant feature of this landscape is the transport systems which move through the land, their surfaces rising and falling, over and under. The intention, therefore, was to strategically transform the area through concentrating on these systems and exploiting through visual enhancement the many bridges and the way they progress relentlessly over and around eachother.
