Chair of New Public Art Organisation

CBAT & Cywaith Cymru .Artworks Wales are currently in the process of merging to establish a new public art organisation for Wales based in Cardiff, in partnership with the Arts Council of Wales.
Building on the success of the two existing organisations, the new body will be charged with exploring the potential for interdisciplinary practice across art, design, landscape and architecture.

We are seeking to recruit a chair who will lead the board of the new organisation and work closely with the Executive Director in the inception period. It is anticipated that the new chair will be involved in the appointment of the Executive Director. The Chair is not remunerated, but reasonable expenses incurred in the
performance of their duties will be paid.

SUSTAINABLE FOUNDATIONS FOR THE FUTURE The Landscape Institute Conference

Establishing sustainable communities is a worldwide priority.
Today in the UK it is vital that all relevant professionals co-ordinate a sustainable approach to the landscape and the built environment.

This conference will address that need focusing on five key
themes looking at how sustainability influences all professions
and how a co-ordinated strategy will improve the quality of
design and sustainability of projects. The themes taken from
the Wales Spatial Plan to be examined include:

Building Sustainable Communities
Promoting a Sustainable Economy
